There is one reason I will always workout on vacation... that reason? Well, it once lead to meeting Adam Sandler.
Now, there's a few questions you might be asking yourself... first, why would I be working out on vacation? Well, it was a beautiful day and I had jet lag so I was up early anyways. Second, why in the world was Adam Sandler in Hawaii? Filming "The Wrong Missy," of course. Third, how exactly did this happen? Well it is quite the story.
My family decided to travel to Ko Olina, Hawaii for spring break during my senior year of high school. We stayed at the Aulani Resort. The views were breathtaking, and the weather was almost too perfect.

Almost every morning, I would wake up before 7 a.m. because of jet lag; however, because of the dewy, sunny mornings I never minded it. On the third day of this, I decided to go for a run to start my day. I headed out of the resort to make my way through the path of the coves surrounding ours. As I turned onto the path, I saw a large group of people that looked as if they were filming something. I wasn't sure if I would be able to pass through because of the camera crew, but I was optimistic and figured it was just a TV show being filmed.

As I was running through the group of people and stepping over wires from cameras that covered the side walk, I saw a golf cart flash before my eyes and almost hit me. I looked up from the path where I thought I was about to be flattened, and to my surprise I see David Spade and Adam Sandler sitting in the golf cart staring right back at me. My mouth dropped to the floor. I was speechless.
Out of everything I thought would happen to me that morning, almost getting hit by Adam Sandler and David Spade on a golf cart never crossed my mind.
So, after standing in shock for about 30 seconds, Adam Sandler apologized and the only words I could spit out were "hi, it's okay."
I finished my run and watched the movie being filmed by the pool the rest of the day still thinking how crazy it was that if I had never gotten up early to workout, I never would've almost been hit by Adam Sandler and David Spade on a golf cart.
Now, whenever I'm on vacation I tend to encourage myself to wake up early in the mornings and workout because you truly never know what might happen if you do... oh and exercise is good for you.
So next time you're debating whether or not to wake up early or workout... just take my advice and think "why not?"
