...but it's supposed to be the happiest place in the world? Well, May 18th, 2018 was an unfortunate day for myself.
As it was my sister's 21st birthday, the only proper way to celebrate while being in Disney was to go to Epcot and "drink around the world." We got up early on the morning of the 18th and started our day in Mexico where she ordered a margarita. I was excited for her and happy as I could be. (Pictured below was us in Morocco that day)

So after making our way half way around the world, it was about 2 p.m. and I received a text from my boyfriend at the time. About two seconds after reading the text, I burst into tears. It was a break-up text. Looking back on it, it was quite an unfortunate way to find out I was getting broken up with on my sister's 21st birthday, over text message, while standing in the middle of Disney World.
However, in a way I guess that was better than being at home. So, of course my family was comforting me in every way possible and trying to stop me from crying. After about ten minutes, I realized, how could I be upset when I was in Disney World, with my entire family, the weather was beautiful, I was eating delicious food, and everything happens for a reason. (Pictured below is me in the bottom right on Splash Mountain the next day)

While crying in Disney World may not seem like a fun experience, it is now a core memory in my head that I will never forget and ended up being a great day. Looking back, it is something my family gets a good laugh about.
So, next time you find yourself in the midst of a break-up while at Disney World (which hopefully will not happen to you, but just in case)...just remind yourself "why not?" Why not see the good, why not be positive, why not be happy :).
