Packing.
In the few days leading up to leaving for vacation or traveling, the excitement kicks in. For me, I am a procrastinator when it comes to packing. The closer it gets to leaving the more I push off making a list of everything I need.

But, in a way, this procrastination helps me. Over spring break, I spent my time split between Puerto Rico and Miami, FL. Luckily, these two destinations require similar outfits.
So, what are my necessities for traveling to a warm destination? A few are listed below...
Toiletries: toothbrush, toothpaste, face wash, lotion, medications (including ibuprofen, etc.), make-up, sunscreen, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hairbrush, etc.
Clothing: swimsuits, t-shirts, shorts, dresses, skirts, cover-ups, socks, jackets, etc.
Shoes: sandals for the beach, walking sneakers, stylish sneakers, heels, and wedges.
Accessories: sunglasses, jewelry, beach bag, beach towel, hat, etc.
Extras: phone charger, chewing gum, snacks, water bottle, passport, ID, book, masks, headphones, notebook, computer, chap-stick, etc.
Depending on the place I am traveling, this list can frequently changed. The one category that usually remains the same is "extras," because this the things I know I cannot buy (like an ID is required to get on a plane).

One of the main reasons I think it is easier to wait to pack until close to leaving for your trip is because you may forget some of your day-to-day needs if you pack too early. The one time I chose to pack 3 days before leaving for a trip, I forgot my entire bag of toiletries and charger...guess I was just too eager to leave.
So, next time you are packing for a trip and thinking about procrastinating, just remember it's not the worst idea to pack last minute...
